Happy 12th birthday from the Book of You book club, where we collect and cherish childhood memories together.

1. The Moment

Year 12 - how's it been ? What memories and ups and downs have your experienced this year? Time to get it down in your Book of You.

1. Fancy a change of scene? Take to your bikes
2. Will you choose a favourite spot or head to somewhere new?
3. Don't forget pens, refreshments, a rug, and, of course, your Book of You

2. The Memory

A gorgeous picture of this tween enjoying her book.

3. The Advice You Didn't Ask For

“The thing about parenting rule is there aren't any. That's what makes it so difficult.”

— Ewan McGregor, actor

4. The Parent Friend

Clover Stroud

Clover is a best selling author and parent of five kids, from wee ones to teens. As she puts it, "I write about the way life feels" and and she certainly doesn't sugar-coat her version of parenthood. There's mess and stress, but there's also a good measure of joy thrown in. One to follow to help keep you sane!

5. The Memory Maker

Make a Family Film!

Kids know tech - and making a family movie is a great way to let them show this off, while getting some amazing moments on film. Let them decide on the approach - something scripted, fly on the wall, or maybe even stopframe. Then work on it together, letting them call the shots. When the filming's done, there are plenty of free editing packages out there. If it's something you've not done before, you could all pick up a new skill.
