Happy 13th birthday from the Book of You book club, where we collect and cherish childhood memories together.

1. The Moment

Year 13 - the teen years are officially here - time to get the last year of their pre-teen life down on paper in your Book of You.

1. Take to the sofa
2. Arm yourself with pens, photos, glue - whatever you need
3. Get creative getting those memories into your Book of You

2. The Memory

Capturing memories in their own words and no doubt enjoying reading about themself from when they were little.

To share your memory, tag @colour.chronicles on instagram. If we feature yours on our social or here, we’ll send you a book of your choice.

3. The Advice You Didn't Ask For

"If you have never been hated by your child, you have never been a parent.”

— Bette Davis, actress

4. The Parent Friend

Actually Mummy

When it comes to advice, there are loads of supportive blogs for parents of little ones, but much less for parents of teens. And that's a shame as this is arguably when you need it most. The brainchild of lifestyle blogger Helen Wills, Actually Mummy covers all the essentials for parents of older kids.

5. The Memory Maker

No Phone Day!

This one's a challenge for everyone. No phones. All day. For any of you. We recommend heading out and leaving phones at home - quality time, without the usual one-handed distraction. No phones over dinner, too! If you think you can handle it, you could say no to ALL screens and devices, or even make an entire weekend of it. You never know, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Happy memory making book clubbers
