Happy 5th birthday from the Book of You book club, where we collect and cherish childhood memories together.

1. The Moment

Year five - it's time to get those all-important memories - including first school days - into your Book of You. How about building a Book of You den to cosy up and get writing in.

2. The Memory

Gorgeous handprint and beautifully written name by Evie.

3. The Advice You Didn't Ask For

“Sometimes, kids want you to hurt the way they hurt.”

— Mitch Albom, author, journalist & musician

4. The Parent Friend

Nilly Dahlia

British Bengali Nilly Dahlia is both a mum of two and a blogger. She took to the internet to show that Muslim families are like all families, with the same highs, lows, mess, chaos, and fun. Nilly combines honest parenting with lifestyle tips, while also tackling subjects like racism and Islamophobia.

5. The Memory Maker

Woodland Dens

You've built a den at home, so now it's time to build one in the great outdoors. Just head to your closest wood or wooded area of the local park. Find your tree of choice, then collect branches to lean against it, layering them up and forming a little teepee shape inside. Want to make more of a day of it? Bring a waterproof blanket, books and games, a picnic or even a camping stove. You're woodland folk now.

Happy memory making book clubbers
