Happy 8th birthday from the Book of You book club, where we collect and cherish childhood memories together.

1. The Moment

Year eight - the party bags can wait! Grab your not-so-little-one and your Book of You, and together capture your favourite memories from the year.

1. Popcorn at the ready
2. Grab pens, pencils, paints, photos and your Book of You
3. Flick to the year, then follow the prompts.
What do they make you both think of?

2. The Memory

A lovely handprint, a photo, and those all important stats!

To share your memory, tag @colour.chronicles on instagram. If we feature yours on our social or here, we’ll send you a book of your choice.

3. The Advice You Didn't Ask For

“Having kids - the responsibility of rearing good, kind, ethical, responsible human beings - is the biggest job anyone can embark on. As with any risk, you have to take a leap of faith and ask lots of wonderful people for their help and guidance.”

— Maria Shriver, journalist

4. The Parent Friend

The Mother of all Lists

Curated by author and podcast host Clemmie Telford (@clemmie_telford), The Mother of All Lists covers issues affecting childhood and beyond. Read first-hand accounts on subjects as varied as parenting disabled children, educating kids about money, and being a solo parent. Clemmie’s also written “But Why?’,  a book designed to help you answer your kids’ trickiest questions.

5. The Memory Maker

It's Movie Night!

Create the cinema experience at home! Grab blankets and snacks, turn the lights down low, then settle in for a family favourite. Your little one will love it if you turn this one into a monthly ritual. You can even get them to practice their writing by making movie posters and tickets beforehand, or writing film reviews afterwards.
