Refund policy
RETURNS AND REFUNDS
If you change your mind, you can return your book(s) for a refund within 14 days of receiving them, in line with your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. We extend this period to 30 days as a goodwill measure.
How to cancel your order
Email us at hello@colourchronicles.com before the 30-day period expires, including your order number and the item(s) you'd like to return. We'll confirm by reply.
Returning the book(s)

You are responsible for the cost of returning the book(s) to us. We recommend using a tracked delivery service with proof of posting and appropriate insurance — we cannot refund items that don't reach us, or items damaged in transit. Please include your order number inside or on the parcel.
Condition of returned books
You may handle the book to assess its nature, characteristics and functioning, as you would in a shop. If a book has been written in, drawn in, or otherwise filled in by you or a recipient, we reserve the right to deduct from the refund an amount reflecting the reduction in value.
How and when you'll be refunded
We'll issue your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned book(s), using the same payment method used for your original order. Depending on your bank or card provider, it may take a further few days for the refund to appear on your statement.
Damaged, faulty or incorrect books
If your book arrives damaged, has a manufacturing fault, or is not what you ordered, please contact us at hello@colourchronicles.com with your order number and a photo if possible. Please don't return the item until we've responded.
In these cases — under your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — we will pay the cost of return postage and either replace the book or refund you in full, whichever you prefer.
If your order hasn't arrived
If you've received a dispatch confirmation email but your book hasn't arrived within 10 working days of dispatch, please contact us. We will offer a replacement or refund, whichever you prefer.
Changing your order or delivery address
We understand that mistakes happen. If you spot a wrong delivery address, colour choice, or any other detail after ordering, please email us at hello@colourchronicles.com as soon as possible with as much detail as you can. We'll do our best to help — but if the order has already been dispatched, we may not be able to change it.
